Scott McDonald video tribute for Australia Day (belatedly)

Celtic's Scott McDonald Australia Day video tribute

Only a week after Australia Day it's overdue to pay tribute to Scott McDonald.

With 19 goals to his name so far, including priceless strikes against Spartak Moscow and AC Milan the former Motherwell striker has more than repaid his £600,000 transfer fee.

Indeed, it would be scary to think where we would be this season without his goals as last Sunday at Falkirk again demonstrated.

But rather than ramble on for ages CLICK HERE to view this brilliant VIDEO put together by the Perth WA CSC in tribute to Scott

GAME OFF FARCE

GAME OFF Farce

Tonight's game at Motherwell was called off at 6.55, 50 minutes before kick-off.

There was no significant deterioration in the weather between the 3pm pitch inspection and the decision to call the game off.

Why wasn't the game called off at 3.00pm?

What time did the referee arrive at the ground at?

What suddenly changed at 6.55pm to call the game off?

I don't think that the pitch was ever playable but as usual 'these things happen'

The same thing will happen next year and no doubt years to come.

Celtic reserves resume with a win, Dundee United 1-2 Celtic Video report

Dundee United 1-2 Celtic

The reserves back into action today with a great 2-1 win away to Dundee United at Station Park, Forfar.

A very, very young reserve side was captained by Scott Cuthbert and got off to the best possible start when Ricky Towel opened the scoring in the first minute with a sweet volley from Paul Cahillane's cross.

United equalised through Garry Kenneth with 15 minutes left to play but two minutes from the end striker Kevin Cawley notched the winner when he lobbed the home keeper after getting in behind the home defence.

Strach does an O'Neill as deadline looms, Samaras Video, Motherwell game at risk in Stevenage?

After WGS's 4 match ban (well it was inevitable) we find ourselves making the sodden journey to Fir park for the postponed clash with Motherwell.
It seems big PL, Gordon P and WGS are doing an O'Neill and frantically working to strengthen the squad ahead of the transfer deadline at midnight tomorrow. AS usual there's rumour after rumour and exclusive after exclusive. Think I'll wait and see who the wee man conjurs up, let's hope it's a prince and not a frog.
We may also see the departure of someone like Magic. Although I must say if that guy could be arsed he has all the qualities of a striker. Never mind.
Koki Mizuno joined yesterday and we signed Georgios Samaras on loan until the end of the season with the usual 1st option on the player in the summer break..
Our homepage has a video showing Samaras in action click here or the image above to view.
Finally it seems the Motherwell game may be postponed again . Let's hope not as Gerry in The Poachers in Stevenage where i travel on busiens stoday has promised, in an email, that the game will be shown. I'll hold you to that Gerry.

Video as Georgios Samaras snubs Rangers for the Champions League club

Georgios Samaras snubs Rangers for hoops.

Georgios Samaras has signed a six month loan deal with Celtic.

The 22-year-old striker signs on loan from Manchester City and is eligible for the Champions League matches with Barcelona.

After being frozen out at City by Sven Goran-Eriksson the striker is looking to win a place in the Greek squad looking to retain the European Championship in the summer.

Twenty four hours ago Samaras had been linked with a move to Rangers but has instead opted to sign for Scotland's Champions League team.

Joining Georgios today at Celtic is Koki Mizuno as the transfer window prepares to close.

Celtic Glasgow est la merde. Les flics de clef de voƻte ressemblez

What exactly is going on with the team? Another 90 minutes of frustration.

Team: A group organized to work together.
The Current Celtic squad.
I had to endure today's match on TV at the brother's in Fife. One of those occasions that there was no offer of a ticket. Two mates, as usual travelled to the game, albeit one of hem by car instead of the planned train trip. Obviously this was a self inflicted suffrage. So, what was worse? Him sitting through it live or me having to endure the awful coverage on Setanta with that bloody idiot Booth.
Falkirk outplayed our super midfield. The wide players needed to notice that they had to cut in tighter to help Broon and Donati. Scotty was taken out a few times early on an this Celtic team need to toughen up if they're to catch up.
We're being bullied and it's unacceptable. Injuries are there of course but he defence constantly backs off and invites danger and there is a sense pf panic inherent in our play.
We are not currently a team and once again were lucky to come away with the 3 points. Play like that on Wednesday and we'll get gubbed.
A 19th goal for Skippy but that and the 3 points were it. We are the Champions, Bhoys start playing like it. I myself of course will follow the Bhoys into the grave, but keep playing lke we are means the product on the park for the glory hunters just isn't there so I suspect their bums will nt be warmimg Parkehead seats for much longer.

Half enpty or half full?

Half empty... or half full

Thankfully Scott McDonald earned us the points today at Falkirk.

A poor poor team performance raised lots of concerns but the bottom line is that the match was won and that's all that really matters just now.

Wednesday's match at Motherwell will present a similar challenge but it's unlikely that we'll get the points with a similar display.

We need to up the ante, start playing well, scaring teams, scoring goals and putting the pressure on Rangers to let them know that every slip will be punished.
